Become an Instructor

PRO LEVEL: Mean you have years of experience, develop your own teaching material and have group of students who follow your teachings. All Teaching material comes with a breakdown of music timing techniques and explanations for a smooth learning experience for students. You do not need DWF to help you build your classes, although we would love to promote.

EXPERIENCED: Mean you are capable of teaching or been a performing artist who wants to teach but do not have group of students. Teaching requires patience and understanding of the student’s background and ability to transfer your dance knowledge to non-dancer to achieve your level. DWF is always ready to promote your classes and teaching materials.

NEWBIE: Mean you have a good talent but far away to be visible by others. When you sign up for Intensive Training, you will be improving your technique, body movements and understanding teaching concepts. At same time making observations during classes and may be assisting in class..

Frequently Asked Questions

Which participants can enjoy studio use FREE OF CHARGE?
- For instructors who only connected with DWF Studio only, enjoy studio will be free.
^{Mean the instructors are teaching only at DWF and not in other venues. As instructors we always need extra time to practice & create new material, we would be glad to have studio use free of charge for selected instructors (subject to time slots availability)}
- Studio use at normal or discounted rates for those who are teaching at various venues including DWF
^{Mean the instructors are teaching classes at DWF and also other various venues}
As a Newbie, how can i upgrade my level

As a newbie, each Intensive training you complete and have develop ability to teach same, you will be able to upgrade for more income.

E.g. as newbie you are entitled for 10%, once you have complete Intensive Level 1 and are ready to teach. After observing your teaching, you will be either requested to improve or pass to EXPERIENCE category for following classes only and enjoy 50% for those classes.

^{Expected time to achieve this level is 3-6 months, although it will be entirely depend upon your speed of learning and self practice!}

I am very interested but not sure if this is suitable for me
What if my classes have less students ?
My group may need flexible time slots ?
Payment & Refund

For Newbie & Experience instructors, all payments by students are PAID direct to DWF! Once classes are completed, DWF will transfer or pay in studio to instructor upon completing the course.

^{Instructors are not allowed and cannot expect to keep any payment for any reasons before course is completed. If classes are cancelled earlier, payment will be made pro-rata basis}

For Pro Instructors, payment terms as per discussion.

REFUND: Although all payments are non-refundable. Exemption are made case to case basis, if payment is requested due to instructor fault, DWF will refund payment and instructor should not have any objections for such cases.

^{(This are case where instructor are new to teaching and do not meet the standard as DWF only want best teaching to students. This also includes any mistakes in teaching, breakdown etc).}

If students are unable to make for classes or do not show up, no refund will be made in such situation.

The overall purpose is for Instructors to progress their talents in a beautiful full furnished venue and for students to enjoy and have a good time.

All terms are set to achieve this goal and we welcome discussion where needed to improve and get most out of this program.
Taking care of studio during classes
All instructors are requested to do a FULL TOUR of studio to know how to operate.

As studio is used by many instructors, everyone is requested to keep studio in good condition all time, that include
- No touching of mirrors during class
- Water bottle and trash clear before leaving class
- Classes should operate within time slot requested, including any set up time prior or chit-chat with students after class
Although studio use is simple and easy to use, in some cases a fine of $30-$50 may be impose if
- Aircon are left ON before leaving studio
- Water are seen on dance floor, this would cost fine + repairing cost (if any)
- Leaving marks on floor from shoes
- Breaking any items in studio (fan, glass, computer)
